Welcome to our canteen!
‘Oishii’ means ‘delicious’ in Japanese and that’s exactly what our award winning canteen aims to provide: healthy and delicious meals to our Ainslie students and staff.
Our canteen has received the following awards:
- Canteen Menu Award from healthyfood@school
- Successful implementation of the National Healthy School Canteen Guidelines
- Canteen Menu Award from Canteen Fresh ACT (2014)
Our Canteen Coordinators Ari and Clair have both won Children’s Week awards for child development as part of their wider work to support all Ainslie students.
Oishii Canteen operates five days a week, it is a warm and welcoming place where you can connect with other school parents and carers who volunteer. Oishii canteen’s management is supported by the Canteen sub-committee.
Contact the Oishii Canteen via phone on: 61423070, or email email@example.com for any enquiries.
Our aim is to have food options for all of our school community so if your child has special dietary requirements, please visit the Canteen and have a chat to see if we can cater to you.
The canteen has Flexischools and EFTPOS for your convenience.
How to order lunch
Our canteen uses the FlexiSchools online ordering system. FlexiSchools is a fast and secure way to order and pay for canteen. To take advantage of this convenient service, visit at www.flexischools.com.au and follow the prompts to register your account.
If you prefer a ‘hard copy’ lunch order, these can be dropped into Oishii Canteen before 10am. Alternatively, your child can pop their lunch order into their classroom lunch order box in the morning when they arrive at school. When ordering please write the following information clearly on a brown paper lunch bag:
- Child’s name
- Child’s class
- Order total
- Please enclose exact change (if possible)
- If you don’t have a bag, don’t worry – just write your child’s order on a piece of paper or envelope and add an extra 10c for a bag.
Snacks, Frozen items and Drinks can be purchased over the counter at recess and lunch without an order.
